Our aim is to ensure that our members receive added value locally, and feel a sense of belonging to a really connected community of experienced international communicators.
The Victorian Chapter is based in Melbourne. We welcome both new and visiting members to our regular events. Whether you work within the private or public sector, or as a business providing communications expertise, we welcome you as a valuable member of the IABC community in Victoria.
A board of volunteers manages the Victoria Chapter. They come from a cross section of the communications profession and give of their time and effort to provide the best possible development and networking opportunities to benefit all members.
IABC Victoria is a large-sized chapter with 220 members currently, a membership figure which has been steady during recent years. The Chapter is focused on delivering local value to members and we offer this through a range of services including:
- Our regular Be There lunch time events, with thought leaders on current and relevant topics of interest;
- Connecting the community through networking opportunities, such as through our Be Heard events, special networking forums, the annual Christmas party;
- Our annual Gala Dinner, the hallmark event on the IABC Victoria calendar – one not to be missed;
- Social media platforms on eXchange, twitter, and Linkedin;
- Development opportunities! As well as are regular events, we continuously seek opportunities to bring major international and local experts to the chapter to conduct workshops across the full range of strategic communication issues.
IABC Victoria also works with professional partners who contribute financially, and or by contra transactions with our association.
We continue to work across our profession to provide opportunities for members to further their career, provide contacts and promote best practice.
