And the Bronze Quill goes to …

We’re counting down to Wednesday 31 May when around 175 members, professional partners and friends of IABC Victoria will gather at the beautiful ANZ Pavilion at the Victorian Arts Centre, to toast a record-breaking 21 Bronze Quill Award winners at our annual Bronze Quill Gala Dinner. The evening celebration is set to be a night to remember.

IABC Victoria introduced the Bronze Quill awards in 2011 to celebrate and showcase the amazing talent in Victoria. An IABC international Gold Quill entry that progresses to the blue ribbon judging stage is recognised by IABC Victoria with a Bronze Quill Award. That’s right, Victorian award entries have the opportunity to win two awards with the one submission!

Guest speakers

Our special guests include Elizabeth Lukin, General Manager Corporate Affairs and Communications for the AFL, who will share her behind-the-scenes insights into women’s football and the communication challenges and opportunities it presents, as well as reflect on the impact it’s had on the AFL brand. Aasta O’Connor, key defender for the Western Bulldogs will share her perspective on being front and centre of the historical shift in one of our nation’s most popular sports.

More reasons to celebrate!

And this year we have three more reasons to celebrate. Recently, Melbourne PR student Saania Habeeb won the Special 2017 IABC Gold Quill Award, the Sharon Berzok Student Award, for the highest-scoring student entry. Saania’s entry “Topsy Turvy Day for State School’s Relief”, was a creative fundraiser to raise awareness and funds for struggling primary school children in Victoria. Cropley Communication and NAB have also been shortlisted for Boutique Agency of the Year, and Corporate Communication Department of the Year, respectively. Special awards have gone to a global selection of communication professionals, teams and agencies.

We’re looking forward to seeing you there!

And for those not able to attend, keep an eye on our LinkedIn and Twitter feeds where we’ll be showcasing each winner through a series of short videos.
