Bronze Quill Awards
IABC Victoria introduced Bronze Quill awards in 2011 to celebrate and showcase the amazing talent we have here in Victoria.
You will be familiar with the Gold Quills, which are IABC international awards and now, as part of your entry for a Gold Quill, you could win a Bronze Quill. Bronze Quills will be the gateway to winning a Gold Quill – if your entry scores high enough to progress to the blue ribbon judging stage in San Francisco, IABC Victoria will recognise your achievement with a Bronze. Showcase your talents and gain much deserved recognition for your hard work. It’s a way to invest in yourself and your career. Excel Award
The IABC EXCEL Award recognises contributions to business communication by an organisational leader who is not a member of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). These contributions include such achievements as initiating, directing, supporting or sustaining outstanding and effective communication programs. One award is presented each year, provided a sustainable candidate has been identified and nominated by an IABC member or non-member and approved by a majority vote of IABC’s executive board. The recipient will accept the award and give a keynote address at the IABC World Conference in 2012. The nomination process for 2012is now open. Nominations must be received by 11 February 2012. Fellow Award
IABC Fellow Awardis the highest honor our association can bestow on an individual. It is our way of acknowledging outstanding leadership, professional accomplishment and service to IABC and the profession. Fellow selection criteria include all of the following: Contribution to the organizational communication field and profession; career achievement; authorship, speaking and lecturing; contributions to IABC; and other professional recognition such as community activities and other business-related activities. IABC Chapter Management Award
Each year IABC invites its over 100 chapters from around the world to submit entries for the Chapter Management Awards in the categories of leadership development, financial management, membership marketing, communication, branding, professional development and community and educational involvement.
IABC Victoria is no stranger to winning awards. In 2009, we won Awards of Excellence in Professional Development and Membership Recruitment for a large chapter. In 2008 IABC Victoria collected five awards at the 2008 IABC Chapter Management Awards. IABC Victoria won Awards of Excellence in the categories of Branding and Financial Management and an Award of Merit for Leadership Development. IABC Victoria also named Mid-size Chapter of the Year and former IABC Victoria President, Adrian Cropley won a personal citation as Chapter Volunteer Leader of the Year. “I am very proud to have had our Chapter recognised in this way.
