Technology and communication always have and always will be intertwined and interdependent, and we’re on the threshold of a new era of that interdependence.
On Monday 20 March over 80 communication professionals gathered in RMIT University’s Green Brain building for the third annual talk55. They came to hear nine senior communication professionals, and one special guest, present an amazing array of ideas and observations that inspired us to change the way we think about communication and our future in it – all in under five minutes each.
Talk55 took us on a journey through time, technology and space and along the way we learnt about telling real stories, equipping machines to have meaningful conversations, online profile building, exciting people about change, participatory programs, augmented reality, why communication professionals should be in tune with their CIO, the power of visual communication, social journalism and what it takes to be authentic.
Our special thanks to RMIT and Coral Communications for hosting another lively event. Thanks also to guest speaker Gabrielle Dolan, global thought leader on authentic leadership and business storytelling, and opening keynote speaker at the IABC World Conference in June. Sincere thanks to all our brilliant presenters for sharing their insights, time and energy.
